The History
Always a restless perfectionist, Ramón Cifuentes became fascinated by the challenge of creating a super-premium Partagas cigar.

The task proved to be an arduous one, but the great cigar master eventually gave his approval to release the first Partagas Limited Reserve cigars in1991.

Partagas Limited Reserve cigars have become as famous for their scarcity as they are for their quality, because the rigorous standards for these cigars preclude anything more than the most limited production.
The Cigar
To craft Partagas Limited Reserve cigars, only one of every one hundred of the longest, finest filler leaves grown in the Dominican Republic and the San Andrés Tuxtla Valley of Mexico are selected and set aside in numbered lots. And to make certain that the cigars have the richest of wrappers, only an average of three in a thousand are selected from the Partagas reserves of the best Cameroon wrappers. The tobaccos and ultimately the cigars then undergo the most prolonged aging processes in rooms built of Spanish cedar.

Carefully monitored at regular intervals, only those cigars that mature most gradually are deemed worthy of the Partagas Limited Reserve name.

And from the month and year the cigars are placed in cedar-room storage to the earliest release date for the packed cigars, the details of the aging process are duly recorded by hand on a notice of certification contained in each hand-crafted mahogany box.

Fittingly enough, these rarest of all premium cigars are crafted in only four classic sizes: Royale 6 x 43, Regale 6 l/4 x 47, Robusto 5 l/2 x 40 and Epicure 5 x 38.
